The Sworn In Ceremony Underway For Luciano Lossio As The New Minister Holder of TSE

The ceremony to sworn in Luciano Lossio as the Minister of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) is due to be held next week Tuesday 26th. Lossio will fill in the vacant position that became available upon the departure of the former Minister Arnaldo Versiani. According to the agency plans, the inauguration ceremony is scheduled to start at 19hrs at the plenary of the Court itself. Lossio is a woman with great achievements and devoted professional in all her career life. She was one of the pioneer women to occupy the three vacancies reserved for women lawyers in 2011 and took over as the TSE substitute minister.

She is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Electoral Law (IBRADE), and will be the youngest minister serving big clients such as some governors. She is celebrated as the best defense tool based on the oral explanations known by many in Brazil. Her character is a plus for her, a striking feature in each function she is responsible for handling. She understands her responsibility to pay attention to the respect of people and their rights as constituted in the law.

Luciana Lossio completed her Law degree in 1999 at the University Center of Brasilia (UniCeub). Lossio dedicated much efforts to her studies that enabled her to be admitted to the Bar Association of Brazil (OAB) in the same year. She later completed three post graduate courses in Civil Procedure Law in the Second Law, Sate and Constitution, and the most recent was the Legal and Public Order Ministry. Lossio wanted to ensure that she gained legal knowledge in various fields.

Lossio worked for seven years in the Attorney General’s office. During her time at the Country’s law office, she worked alongside the two former attorney generals of the Republic, Claudio Fonteles, and Geraldo Bundeiro. Her roles were mainly advisory in the cases whose judgments depended on the TSE or the Federal Supreme Court (STF). Lossio is a visionary leader, and she always focused ahead of time to deal with situations that were complex in nature.

Securus Technologies’ New App Accumulates 65000 Downloads

Dallas-based Securus Technologies, a telecommunication-oriented company offering civil and criminal technological solutions announced successful adoption of its newly designed app, Inmate Video Phone Call earlier this year. The company which focuses on offering investigations, public safety, corrections and monitoring announced on crunchbase.com that the android version of its product (unveiled 6 months earlier) had accumulated 60,000 downloads in the Play store while its counterpart in the iTunes had gathered 5,000 downloads.

The Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Securus America hailed the app, explaining that it could connect the family and friends in a much more convenient way rather than to visit their incarcerated loved ones in jails or prison. Securus Technologies was aware of the rigidness associated with prison and jail visitations procedures and for that reason, opted to offer consumers with a way of communicating with their loved ones even at the comforts of their home. The app was to eliminate the need for web cameras, tethered computers and additional hardware system associated with traditional visitations and that all users would only be required to have is an internet access either via cellular service or wireless networks (Wi-Fi).

PR Newswire reports that the app would allow family and friends to make video calls or hold virtual meetings with their loved ones in prisons and jails on their tablets or smartphones interfaces allowing them to virtually participate is social events (Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4ECpybr_7s) including birthday, burials, family gatherings, holidays and sporting events. This would make the imprisoned to feel home or rather as members of the family, a process that would also influence their rehabilitation. Stephen Murray: a legacy to be remembered for all generation

Stephen P. Murray was a private equity investor and also philanthropist who was born on August the second in 1962 and passed away on March 12th 2015. He was the CEO and president of CCMP Capital, a private equity firm that focuses on buyout and growth equity transactions.

He was a family man and had one wife, Tami Murray, and four children. Murray graduated with a degree in economics from Boston College in 1984. He later graduated with a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School in 1989.

Stephen Murray then became part of the credit analyst training program which was at Manufacturers Hanover Corporation in 1984. In 1989 he joined MH Equity Corporation, which summed up Manufactures Hanover’s private equity group with its leveraged financial unit. In 1991, Manufacturers Hanover’s was acquired by Chemical Bank, and MH Equity merged with Chemical Venture Partners.

Chemical Bank later came together with Chase Manhattan Corporation in 1996 and Chemical Venture Partners became Chase Capital Partners. In 2005, Murray became head of buyout business at JP Morgan Partners. Eric Pulier is a philanthropist, author and an entrepreneur from Los Angeles California. He studied at Harvard University in 1984. Charles Koch and Partner Michael Bloomberg Intend to Stop ‘Coddling Intolerance’ at Universities

On Friday, May 13th, 2016 the Washington Times announced that Charles Koch, who also happens to be a Republican financer joined up with partner Michael Bloomberg, former New York City Mayor to call on universities throughout the country to withhold their freedom of speech rights and more specifically “stop coddling” of independent thought. The two men quoted in the Wall Street Journal, “During college commencement season, it is traditional for speakers to offer words of advice to the graduating class. But this year the two of us- who don’t see eye to eye on every issue- believe that the most urgent advice we can offer is actually to college presidents, boards, administrators and faculty.” Then continuing on to say, “Our advice is this: Stop stifling free speech and coddling intolerance for controversial issues, which are crucial to a college education- as well as to human happiness and progress.

Across America, college campuses are increasingly sanctioning so-called ‘safe spaces,’ ‘speech codes,’ ‘trigger warnings,’ ‘macroaggressions’ and the withdrawal of invitations to controversial speakers. By doing so, colleges are creating a climate of intellectual conformity that discourages open inquiry, debate and true learning. Students and professors who dare challenge this climate, or who accidentally run afoul of it, can face derision, contempt, ostracism- and sometimes even official sanctions.” Both Michael Bloomberg and Charles Koch then argued that in their opinion, that without the freedom to offend, the freedom of expression simply cannot exist.

The Greyhound Diaries: Portraits of American Bus Passengers, Filtered Through the Lens and Lyrics of Doug Levitt

In 2004, Doug Levitt bought a 6-week bus pass. He was a singer-songwriter, looking for musical inspiration. But he was also a journalist, hoping for deeper insights into the American experience of economic hardship. Stirred by haunting Depression-era photos taken by federally-funded WPA artists, he rode the American highways collecting his own poignant images, songs, and stories for “The Greyhound Diaries“.

He could not have known that this 6-week experiment would turn into a 10-year journey and become the focus of his life.

Doug Levitt was born and raised in Washington D.C., the son of former D.C. Council member Carol Schwartz. Through her, he says he acquired a sense of civic-mindedness and responsibility. Levitt was a Fulbright Scholar and attended college at Cornell University and the London School of Economics.

After college, he worked in London as a foreign news correspondent, covering battlegrounds in the Middle East, Rwanda, and the Balkans and sending his stories to outlets like CNN, ABC, and NBC. While still in London, he made the pivotal decision to pursue a music career.

Upon returning to the states, he packed up his Gibson J-100 guitar and set out to see America from a new vantage point. In an interview with Martin Austermuhle in DCist, Levitt described the bus as a “depoliticized environment.” The riders were so diverse – rural, urban, young, old, veterans, tradesmen, artists, ex-cons.

And yet long-distance bus trips were strangely unifying; they were a collective journey born of shared financial circumstances. Lengthy physical proximity with few electronic distractions (most bus riders cannot afford a laptop or smart phone) yielded a “commonality of experience” that cut across other differences.

Levitt ended up riding the bus more than 100,000 miles. Along the way, he composed folk songs. He wrote stories about his own experiences, and told stories of fellow riders. He captured mesmerizing images: one where a whirling child looks blurred, like chalk; another where a stoic man leans on a garbage can reading a paperback; yet another where the glare is so blinding that the people standing on the sidewalk look like angels.

Is Online Reputation Management The Best Way To Go?

There was a recent article written by Cheryl Conner about online reputation management. In this article she highlights how poor online branding can damage the reputation of a company. I happen to agree with this.

How so?

In this article there were a few points being brought up. Over the course of this content I will highlight some of these points, based on their value and consistency with what is really going on in Online Reputation Management.

LOSS IN SALES OVER A POOR REPUTATION

One point, which was made in the article, is very much true. Many companies do not know the true value of their reputation, until it gets called into question. Here’s the thing. A company can take years and years building up their reputation to where it’s really good. All it takes is one person to come in an ruin things for you. All it takes is one bad apple to really do some major damage on your brand and name.

There are many who feel that they can just ride it all out. Many take the stance of “Well, most of our core base knows it isn’t true,so they are automatically on our side”.

This is not necessarily true. Just because someone knows it’s not true, does not mean they always have your back. They expect you to come in and fight for who you are. It doesn’t matter if the rumor is true or not, they still want to see you fight for your name. Customers are going to be loyal to you, if you are loyal back to them. Reputation.com echoes this sentiment in many of their marketing materials as well.

Customers see you fighting back as a way of staying loyal to them. If you are fighting for your brand name, you are fighting for your customer base. It all goes hand-in-hand. The nature of the comment doesn’t count. You are always going to have someone say something unkind about something. This is how they see it. Customers are not going to stay loyal to a company that unwilling to fight for who they are.

There was one another major point about Google results and the positivity. The point Cheryl made in the article is true as well. Not all positive reviews are going to stay where they are at. Reviews are like fads. You could get a glowing review today and not one tomorrow. That’s why companies like BrandYourself even exist (See a BrandYourself Review here for more info). You have to keep on point and keep at it. One single good review is not an excuse to become lazy. Companies have to keep going and keep doing their thing. Good/bad reviews will come and go. A solid reputation will stay forever.

Handy Cleaning Services Deserves More Praise

I know that there are a lot of companies out there that have cleaning services, but I believe that a lot of people are sleeping on the fantastic job that Handy Cleaning Services is doing. This company is going all out and doing such a spectacular job with cleaning homes. I think that this company should be getting much more praise because it is getting as many as a million bookings per week. I certainly think that these types of numbers are an indication that the company is doing something right.

I will be the first to say that Handy has not created anything new under the sun. As a customer, however, I can testify to the fact that Handy has certainly made some major improvements since the birth of on-demand cleaning. This is a company that does a lot of different things. When I started doing my spring cleaning I didn’t have to call and book services with anyone but Handy. This company has people in place that can clean. There are others in place that can hold down the fort with furniture assembly. If you are buying new furniture in the spring as you throw out the old furniture you can book Handy to assemble your new furniture. It is quite pleasing to be able to depend on a single site for all of these different things.

Handy is the company that presents cleaning in a way that is different from many other organizations. This is a company that has expanded to so many other areas outside of the United States. There are Handy contractors in Canada. There are people that clean homes for Handy in the United Kingdom. I think that this type of growing global presence can really make a difference in the lives of people around the world. That is why I believe that the company deserves a lot more praise. More people need to know about Handy and the magic that the Handy contractors work on kitchen floors and counter tops. This is a company that has many great employees that do magnificent jobs.
